Democrats' virtual roll call comes to end, but party has yet to publish results
Voting among delegates began on Thursday morning and concluded Monday at 6 p.m. EST.
The Democratic Party's virtual roll call to officially name its presidential nominee came to an end on Monday evening, but the Party has yet to officially announce the results.
Voting among delegates began on Thursday morning and concluded Monday at 6 p.m. EST.
Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison announced Friday that Harris had secured the support of a majority of delegates in the process and would officially become the nominee when voting closed.
Neither the DNC nor the Harris campaign have issued a statement as of press time.
The party initially organized the virtual roll call, when President Joe Biden was still in the race, to comply with Ohio's deadline to certify a party's nominee.
State officials, however, have subsequently insisted that the state legislature had changed the requirements and that the virtual roll call was not necessary.
