House Dem sues to stop Kennedy Center closure
The Kennedy Center board voted to add Trump's name to the facility in December. The board had already voted to name the opera house after first lady Melania Trump.
Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, on Friday sued the Trump administration to prevent it from closing the Kennedy Center for renovations, warning he might demolish the building outright.

During President Donald Trump's second term, he has overseen a dramatic reorganization and overhaul of the center, replacing the board and directing it to replace obscure independent programming with mainstream performances.
