The board of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts voted to rename the center to include President Donald Trump's name on Thursday.

The iconic performance arts center will now be known as the "Trump-Kennedy Center", the White House confirmed, according to the Associated Press.

The board previously voted to name the center's opera house after first lady Melania Trump. Since returning to the White House, Trump fired the board and installed loyalists, who revamped the venue's show roster.
