House Republicans outraise Democrats by $18 million in third quarter
Republicans raked in $73 million in donations.
The House Republican super PAC, Congressional Leadership Fund, significantly outraised its Democratic counterpart during the third quarter of 2022.
In the leadup to the midterm elections in November, Republicans raked in $73 million in donations through the group compared to Democratic House Majority PAC's $55 million haul, according to Fox News.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy currently has $114 million in cash on hand while the Senate Leadership Fund, the GOP fundraising vehicle in the upper chamber, has committed to spending $190 million this cycle, per the outlet.
The GOP currently holds 212 seats in the House of Representatives, of the 218 necessary for a majority. Late Indiana GOP Rep. Jackie Walorski previously held a currently vacant seat, meaning the party need only flip a net of five seats in November to reclaim control of the House.
Republicans are widely expected to secure the House, though the Senate remains a much closer contest.
