Iowa's Adam Steen announces GOP bid to succeed Gov. Reynolds

He joins the Republican primary field, which currently includes Rep. Randy Feenstra, R-Iowa, state Rep. Eddie Andrews, and former state Rep. Brad Sherman.

Iowa Department of Administrative Services Director Adam Steen on Tuesday will announce his candidacy as a Republican to succeed Gov. Kim Reynolds, R-Iowa, joining a crowded Republican primary field that already includes to veteran state politicians and a member of the state's congressional delegation.

"I can confirm that I am announcing my candidacy for Governor of Iowa," he told Just the News. "I am entering the Governor’s race to work with President Trump to carry forward an America first, people first, and common-sense agenda, while at the same time, honoring the legacy of Governor Reynolds. My priority is to preserve Iowa’s freedom and protect Iowa’s future.” 

Reynolds appointed Steen to his current post in 2021. Prior to his public service, he was a successful entrepreneur, establishing The Turkey Fan in 2014, following a stint in minor league baseball. He is also a credentialed minister in the Assemblies of God.
