JD Vance says VP Harris is running a 'copycat campaign' and pretending to agree with Trump on issues
Vance in his speech urged rally goers to remember Harris's record in office as the current vice president of the U.S.
GOP Vice Presidential nominee J.D. Vance said during a Wednesday rally that Vice President Kamala Harris is running a "copycat" campaign where she is pretending to agree with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
"If you look at her campaign the past week and a half, she pretends that she agrees with Donald J. Trump on every issue. She is running a copycat campaign," Vance said during the rally in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He joked that instead of Harris running for president of the United States, she was actually running for Vance's job as Trump's running mate.
According to a recent report from Axios, Harris is flip-flopping on the issue of the border wall and said she would spend money on it if elected president, a departure from her earlier position.
Vance in his speech urged rally goers to remember Harris's record in office as the current vice president of the U.S.
"Kamala Harris wants to defund the police," Vance said. "Kamala Harris wants to ban fracking. Kamala Harris wants to further entrench the EV mandate that sends your tax dollars to China instead of buying American-made cars from American workers."
Vance later accused Harris of giving Iranians "billions of dollars" and prolonging the war in the Middle East, between Israel and Hamas by not giving Israel the resources it needs to wipe out the terrorist organization.
"Stop giving bad guys money. It's not that complicated. A very simple principle in American diplomacy," Vance said during a rally in De Pere, Wisconsin. "Hamas is an evil organization. What we should be doing as an ally of Israel is empowering them to wipe Hamas off the face of the earth and get this war over. It's very simple."
The vice presidential hopeful claimed Harris's policies in the Middle East was "the dumbest of two worlds."
"She's saying that she wants the war to end as quickly as possible, but she refuses to provide the necessary stuff so that Israel can end the war as quickly as possible," Vance said. "She says that she cares about innocent civilian casualties, and I do too. I don't want innocent people to die in this conflict. The solution to that, though, is to give people precision weapons that minimize civilian casualties and let Israel destroy Hamas."
Vance added that Trump would bring peace, stability, and "common sense" back to the U.S. foreign policy.
