Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen on Thursday declined to tell Politico whether he would use his scheduled interview with President Donald Trump to seek a pardon.

Trump is set to participate in a phone interview with Cohen, who now hosts a radio show. He and Trump publicly feuded during the first term. 

Cohen spent three years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to a litany of charges. He also testified in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's criminal case against Trump.

Speaking to Politico, Cohen declined to directly answer whether he would seek a pardon from the president.

“Will I make that request down the road? I don’t know. Maybe maybe not," he said. “I suggest you listen to the show. You may find it extremely interesting."

The interview is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
