Melania Trump to attend RNC after mostly staying off campaign trail: Report
It is not currently clear whether she will deliver a speech.
Former first lady Melania Trump will reportedly attend the Republican National Convention, marking a rare appearance on the campaign trail this election cycle, CNN reported, citing "sources."
It is not currently clear whether she will deliver a speech. Trump hosted a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans group earlier this month, though she has generally been uninvolved in the campaign this cycle.
Her office spoke on behalf of her son in May in confirming that Barron Trump would not serve as a delegate for the Florida Republican Party at the RNC.
“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments,” her office said.
She announced the death of her mother, Amalija Knavs, in January.
