A Minnesota state representative on Monday admitted to being an illegal alien during remarks on the state House floor and said her father had misrepresented his familial relations in the paperwork.

"My father as the one processing the paperwork, put my grandmother down as his mother. And so I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here in this country," said the representative. The speaker in the video appeared to be state Rep. Kaohly Vang Her, DFL.

She made the remarks while discussing illegal immigrant eligibility for public health care. Video footage of her remarks went viral on social media amid ongoing anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots in Los Angeles.

Responses to the clip included tagging ICE and calls for her arrest.

The Trump administration has deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles to restore order and the president has traded barbs with Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif. Images of rioters flying Mexican flags has also gone viral, leading to major conservative pundits calling for large-scale immigration moratoria.

Just the News has sought comment from Rep. Her.
