Moreno leads Brown in crucial Ohio Senate race: Poll
While Moreno appears to be benefitting from Trump's lead, he enjoys only 83% support from Trump voters while 93% of Harris voters back Brown.
Ohio Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno has taken the lead from Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, in the critical race that could decide control of the upper chamber, a recent survey has revealed.
Moreno took 48% support among likely Ohio voters in the latest Napolitan News survey, compared to 46% who backed Brown.
Traditionally a battleground, Ohio has shifted increasingly toward the GOP in recent cycles and former President Donald Trump currently leads Vice President Kamala Harris there by 11 points in the same survey.
While Moreno appears to be benefitting from Trump's lead, he enjoys only 83% support from Trump voters while 93% of Harris voters back Brown.
Conducted Sept. 18-20, the survey questioned 781 likely Ohio voters and has a margin of error of +/- 3.5%.
The RealClearPolitics polling average, which does not include the survey, currently assigns Brown a 3.6% lead.
