New Jersey woman facing eviction blows up house with herself inside

A New Jersey woman facing eviction blew up her home this week, killing herself and dozens of cats.
The woman barricaded herself within the house after being served with an eviction notice, the Washington Times reported. Her threats to destroy the building prompted her neighbors to evacuate.
Authorities indicated that the woman released gas from the stove before lighting the house ablaze. The subsequent explosion killed both her and her 30 cats and caused damage to a neighboring home.
"It looks unbelievable. The other house, I don’t even think it’s there. I can’t go back in. I can’t go in there until they investigate," neighbor Emma Quackenbush said to WCBS-TV of the explosion and its damage to her own home, per the Times.
