Obama, Clinton admin vet dies in severe turbulence incident during flight
No other passenger reported any injuries. Hyde's exact cause of death remains unclear.
Authorities have identified the passenger who died following an incident of jet turbulence during a flight last week as attorney Dana Hyde, who worked for both the Clinton and Obama administrations.
Hyde, 55, was one of five individuals aboard a private flight that made an emergency landing at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut on March 3. The Connecticut State Troopers identified Hyde as the deceased, the Epoch Times reported. The Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft took off from Keene, N.H., and was travelling to Leesburg, Va., before it was forced to land.
No other passenger reported any injuries. Hyde's exact cause of death remains unclear.
"Our agency is assisting as needed; however, the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) and the FBI are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident," the state troopers indicated. The NTSB has stated that a report will become available in the coming weeks.
Hyde served as a special assistant to the deputy attorney general during President Bill Clinton's tenure and spent eight years with the Obama administration as senior adviser to the deputy secretary of state, associate director at the White House Office of Management and Budget, and chief executive of the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
