Pelosi dodges question on whether Harris is Biden's best VP pick: 'He thinks so'

California Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday evening declined to state whether she believed Vice President Kamala Harris was the best choice to serve as President Joe Biden's running mate in 2024.
"He thinks so and that's what matters," Pelosi said of Biden when questioned as to her thoughts on the ticket. The California lawmaker made the remarks during an appearance on CNN.
"She’s the Vice President of the United States. And when people say to me, 'well, why isn’t she doing this or that?' I say, 'Because she's the vice president. That's the job description. You don’t do that much,'" she continued.

Polling data has generally shown that the American public view her in a negative light. One NBC News survey from July of this year suggested she was the least popular vice president in recent U.S. history.
