Biden 'too old' for another term, 86% of Americans say: Poll
The 86% of Americans who say Biden is "too old" includes the 59% of Americans who said both Biden and Trump are too old for another term in office.
Most Americans, 86%, say President Joe Biden is too old for another term in the White House, according to a new poll that comes after special counsel Robert Hur described the president as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory" in a report about Biden's alleged mishandling of classified documents.
The 86% of Americans who say Biden is "too old" to serve another term as president includes the 59% of Americans who said both Biden and former President Donald Trump, his likely 2024 opponent, are too old for another term as commander-in-chief, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday.
Additionally, 27% of respondents said just Biden is too old while 3% said just Trump is too old for another term, per the poll.
About one in ten Americans, 11%, said neither presidential candidate is too old.
Concerns about the candidates' ages have increased from September, when another ABC poll showed that 74% of respondents thought Biden was too old for another four-year presidential term and 49% said the same about Trump.
This poll was conducted Feb. 9 to 10 with 528 U.S. adults. It has a 4.5% margin of error.
It comes after Hur released a report determining that Biden "willfully" retained classified documents, but he would not be charged because he is unlikely to be convicted due to his "poor memory," among other things.
