More minorities plan on supporting the Republican Party in the midterms this year than in previous elections, a new poll finds.

About 17% of black voters said they will vote for a Republican congressional nominee over a Democrat, according to a poll from The Wall Street Journal published Monday.

In 2020, 8% of black voters supported then President Donald Trump, the same percent who supported Republicans in 2018 congressional races.

About 30% of Latino voters plan on voting for Republican congressional candidates in 2022, up 10 points from 2018, according to a National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Education Fund poll last month.
