California voters are more concerned with the Trump administration interfering in the midterm elections than they are about noncitizens voting illegally, fraud, or even foreign interference, a new poll finds. 

Federal interference was identified as a "major concern" by 61% of voters, according to the poll from UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies, co-sponsored by The Los Angeles Times.

Foreign interference was cited as a "major concern" by 59% of those surveyed in the poll. Voter fraud was cited as primary concern by 41% of California voters, and noncitizens voting was the primary concern of 37% of those surveyed. 

Federal interference was identified as a major concern by 80% of Democrats, and 28% of Republicans. Voter fraud was the primary concern for only 21% of Democrat voters, according to the poll, and 84% of Republicans. Noncitizens voting was identified as a major concern by 85% of Republicans and 12% of Democrats. 

The poll surveyed 4,207 registered voters in California from Aug. 3 to 9, online in English and Spanish, and has an estimated margin of error of about plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
