JFK is most highly rated former president while Trump's rating is 46%: poll
Bill Clinton's approval rating dropped by four points since the last poll.
John F. Kennedy is the most highly rated former president in recent history with a 90% approval rating while former President Donald Trump's approval sits at 46%, according to a Gallup poll released Monday.
Ronald Reagan's approval rating is second to Kennedy's at 69%, the survey showed.
A majority of Americans approved of seven of the nine presidents in the survey. While Trump had the second-lowest approval rating, Richard Nixon came in last with an approval rating of 32%.
The survey excluded Lyndon Johnson and Gerald Ford, as nearly 20% of Americans could not offer an opinion on the former presidents in a Gallup poll five years ago.
Since that 2018 poll, the retrospective approval ratings of George W. Bush, Kennedy and Nixon each increased by four points. Meanwhile, Bill Clinton's approval rating dropped by four points.
This survey was conducted June 1-22 with 1,013 U.S. adults and has a 4% margin of error.
