Majority of voters say they're willing to stop buying products from China to counter CCP, poll

More than three-out-of-four American voters say they would be willing to stop buying products made in China in order to help counter the Chinese Communist Party and lessen the United States' dependence on Chinese manufacturing, according to a poll released Thursday.

The survey, conducted by The Trafalgar Group polling firm in partnership with the small government activist group Convention of States Action, found that 78.7% of likely voters would be willing to stop buying products made in China.

Democrats are nearly 20 points less likely than Republicans to say they are willing to stop buying Chinese-made products at 74.2% to 92.1%.

The survey was conducted March 20–22 with 1,081 likely general election voters and it had a 2.9% margin of error.

At the same time, tensions between the United States and China are running high, and the U.S. House has passed multiple bills taking aim at China this week.
