New poll shows strong majority of American voters opposed to China policies, want US to respond

A vast majority of registered voters show a strong opposition to a wide range of issues regarding how China is run, including 80% of respondents saying the U.S. should hold the Communist-run country accountable for its use of slave labor, according to a new survey by pollster Scott Rasmussen.

The online survey of 1,200 registered voters released Sunday also found 66% of the respondents believe it is important for the U.S. to hold China accountable for its abuse of the Uyghur Muslims.

Rasmussen conducted the survey Oct. 25-27 with field work by RMG Research.

In terms of U.S foreign policy, 65% favor prohibiting the U.S. government from entering into contracts with any entity that relies upon the use of forced labor in China, with 15% opposed such a ban and 19% unsure.

Sixty-two percent believe it should be against the law for companies in the U.S. to purchase or sell any products made by forced labor in Chinese detention camps, the survey also found.
