Over half of voters think Biden family received foreign payments to influence policy: poll
Over one-third of Democrats said they believe the first family has taken foreign payments or they are unsure about it.
More than half of all American voters believe that the Biden family received payments from foreign nationals to influence U.S. policy, according to a poll released Wednesday.
When asked, "As a result of the ongoing Congressional investigation into Hunter Biden, do you believe the Biden family received payments from foreign nationals to influence policy in Washington, DC?" 53.3% of respondents said, "Yes," per a poll conducted by The Trafalgar Group pollsters on behalf of Convention of States Action, a conservative activist group.
Less than one-third of respondents, 31.4%, said they do not believe the Biden family took foreign payments to sway policy, while 15.3% said they were unsure.
While most Democrats, 65.2%, say they do not think the Biden family received foreign payments, 34.7% said they believe the first family has taken foreign payments or they are unsure about it.
Republicans overwhelmingly thought the Biden family was given foreign payments, with 89.8% of GOP respondents saying so.
"The congressional investigation is not even complete and this poll shows the majority of ... Americans have already seen enough documented proof to believe a disgraceful and illegal scam was/is being run by President Biden’s family," Convention of States President Mark Meckler said. "This is an affront to our country and the DOJ and FBI are continuing to subvert justice and cover for the Biden crime syndicate."
The poll of 1,088 likely general election voters was conducted from June 5-9 and has a 2.9% error margin.
The poll comes as Republican members of Congress have said an FBI source alleged that then-former Vice President Joe Biden and another member of his family received $5 million each from the head of Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
