A recent survey found that almost 70% of progressive voters think President Joe Biden' should suspend his campaign in the wake of his debate performance.

The poll was taken by a progressive 501(c)4 group called "Our Revolution" and it found that about 67% of Democrat voters think that Biden needs to not be the Democratic presidential nominee for 2024. Their website does not disclose who funds the group, identity of leadership, or any underlying methodology about the poll.

This poll surveyed about 17,000 progressive voters just 72 hours following the first presidential debate hosted by CNN, according to The Hill.

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and Biden squared off in the debate last week, with Biden's performance prompting panic among Democratic figureheads and surrogates.

Some have called for the president to step aside, but the White House has insisted Biden will remain in the race. About 32% of those surveyed said that they are less likely to support Biden after his debate performance.
