Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden by seven points in head-to-head match up in Arizona, which is a crucial swing state, according to a new poll released Friday.

The poll, which was conducted by Rasmussen Reports, comes after Trump campaigned in the state last week, and shortly after he was convicted of 34 charges related to a hush money payment he made to former porn star Stormy Daniels.

Trump is leading Biden with 47% of the vote, compared to the 40% of respondents who said they prefer the sitting president. Roughly three percent were undecided, and nine percent said they would choose someone else.

The former president's lead shrinks slightly in a five-way race with Biden, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Green Party nominee Jill Stein, and Cornel West. In that matchup, Trump leads by four points, with 41% of respondents favoring him. Biden was supported by 37% of respondents, Kennedy saw support from 10% of respondents, West received two percent, and Stein one percent. Seven percent were still undecided.

Trump's support partly comes from the fact that most respondents listed the economy and border security as the most important issues for them, which Republicans tend to score better on. Almost two thirds of the survey takers (62%) said they would support sending U.S. military forces to the border to help stem illegal immigration.

The poll was conducted from June 11 through June 13, and questioned 750 likely Arizona voters. The survey had a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
