Former President Donald Trump rang in the New Year by criticizing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Party and Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, as he promised that the United States will be stronger than ever.

"This is the year that Nancy Pelosi became the first woman to lose the House of Representatives twice in a lifetime, and lose two highly partisan and ill conceived Impeachment Hoax[es]," Trump wrote on New Year's Eve on Truth Social. "Pelosi also failed to follow my recommendation to have 10,000 to 20,000 soldiers available to protect D.C. from the Election Fraud Protest of January 6th."

Pelosi, a California Democrat, previously served as House Speaker from 2007 to 2011 before Republicans took control of the House in the 2010 midterms. She is slated to be in the minority again this upcoming Congress. Although six men have served non-consecutive terms as speaker, Pelosi is the first woman to do so.

Less than an hour after criticizing Pelosi, Trump wished a "happy New Year" to "the Radical Left Democrats, Marxist Lunatics," along with the people he dubbed "Clueless RINOS" such as his former Transportation secretary, Elaine Chao, who resigned after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, and her husband, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Trump said the groups are "who are working so hard to DESTROY our once great Country."

In the post, Trump referred to Chao, who was born in Taiwan, by a nickname she called a "racist taunt."

"More importantly, HAPPY NEW YEAR to the Incredible, Brave, and Strong American Patriots who Built, Love, and Cherish America. The REAL leaders of our Country will always remain FAITHFUL and LOYAL to you. The USA will be back, Bigger & Better & Stronger than ever before. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!" Trump optimistically concluded his post.

Trump, who announced his presidential campaign in November, made another post on New Year's Eve calling the United States a "Nation in Decline" and said he "will AGAIN bring our once great Nation back from the BRINK."
