Trump leads DeSantis 55%-to-22% in new Harvard-Harris poll
The survey was conducted online and polled 1,845 registered voters
A new survey released Friday shows former President Trump leading possible challenger Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, 55%-to -22%, for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
The so-called Harvard Caps Harris Poll was conducted by the Harris Poll and HarrisX group in conjunction with Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University.
The poll was conducted April 18-19 among 1,845 registered voters.
Seven percent of respondents said they would support former Vice President Mike Pence, while 4% said they would vote for former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio each polled at 1%.
In a head-to-head matchup between Trump and DeSantis, the former president got 61% of the support, compared to 39% for DeSantis.
