Voters overwhelmingly believe mainstream media outlets lacking neutrality
CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Fox all viewed as suffering from bias.
Voters overwhelmingly view major media outlets as lacking journalistic neutrality, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.
Asked to rate seven major news networks on their political biases, not a single network was deemed "neutral" by a majority of viewers.
Half of voters viewed Fox as "conservative." Majorities of voters saw CNN and MSNBC as "liberal," while strong pluralities felt that way about The New York Times and The Washington Post.
The organization with the highest "neutral" rating was the Public Broadcasting Service, popularly referred to as PBS.
Rasmussen pointed out The Wall Street Journal is viewed "as the least biased news organization, with only a net, 9-point liberal bias."
This survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted by Scott Rasmussen from Dec. 3-5, 2020.
