Pro-RFK Jr. super PAC says it has raised more than $10 million
Kennedy Jr.'s support has surged to as high as 20% in some primary polls, though Biden appears to maintain the support of most of his party's voter base.
A senior leader with the pro-Robert F. Kennedy Jr. super PAC American Values 2024 says it has raised more than $10 million to support the Democratic presidential candidate's primary bid against President Joe Biden.
Kennedy Jr., one of Biden's two primary challengers, has attracted considerable media attention for his positions on vaccine skepticism and appeal to the memory of the more moderate Democratic Party of his uncle's era. The other is author Marianne Williamson.
His pitch appears to have begun to resonate with voters, as super PAC co-chair Tony Lyons claims it has raised $10.25 million for its efforts, according to the New York Times. That figure, Lyons asserts, stems from donations from members of both major parties, as well as two donations exceeding $1 million.
"[T]here really are people across the political spectrum who feel he’s going to fight corruption in government and corporate takeover of government agencies," Lyons further contended.
The super PAC was originally founded as the People's Pharma Movement, but changed its name following Kennedy Jr.'s entry into the Democratic Primary.
