Project 2025 author challenges critics to 'go read it', notes project predates Trump's campaign
"I would challenge anyone whose listening to these false criticisms, go read it," Hans von Spakovsky said.
Hans von Spakovsky, one of the authors of Project 2025, clarified that the project was not written for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and that it predates his 2024 campaign.
Project 2025 is a database created by the Heritage Foundation that lays out a plan for policies when the next Republican administration takes over and has been criticized by Democrats and influencers.
"That's exactly right," Spakovsky responded to a question on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show, clarifying that Project 2025 was created prior to the Republican primary to determine the nominee.
According to the "Project 2025" website, the project has three main points: lay groundwork for a White House more friendly to the right, outline a plan for conservative success and to send a message to the political class.
"I would challenge anyone who's listening to these false criticisms, go read it," Spakovsky said, describing the project as "common sense."
