Republicans mull Obamacare extension after Senate votes down two bills

It remains unclear whether the chamber will advance a proposal before year's end and whether such a move would have the support of the Senate.

House Republican leaders a mulling a last-ditch vote to extend COVID-19 ear enhanced subsidies under the Affordable Care Act after the Senate voted down competing proposals from both parties.

The subsidies are set to expire at the end of the year and Republicans met on Capitol Hill to discuss a revised plan, according to The Hill

“That’s still being discussed, but it was heavily discussed. And we’ve just got to work a few things out,” House Majority Leader Steve Scalise told reporters.

It remains unclear whether the chamber will advance a proposal before year's end and whether such a move would have the support of the Senate.
