The wife of one of the victims killed when an Amazon-branded plane failed to stop on the runway and crashed filed a wrongful death lawsuit. 

Yaraisi Santiso Morejon, the wife of Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, filed the lawsuit Wednesday, NBC News reported. 

The lawsuit names Amazon, Amazon Air Cargo, 21 Air, and the two pilots, who survived the crash, as defendants. The suit alleges that they attempted a "high-speed, tailwind-affected landing" and cites pilot error and inadequate training.

The aircraft, a Boeing 767-300, was on its third trip on Sunday when it landed and overran the runway, according to National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy. She said that the aircraft, after leaving the runway, struck navigational aids and equipment before hitting a Ford van on airport property. The van was owned by Professional Ocean Service Corp., a contract cleaning service for airline companies.

Morejon’s attorneys said that Rodriguez Naranjo, 53, who was driving the van, died on impact. His four co-workers, who were also killed in the accident, were leaving their last job and heading home when the crash occurred, according to attorney Mike Morgan. 

An Amazon spokesperson previously said that the flight was operated by 21 Air.
