A clear majority of registered voters approve of President-elect Donald Trump, a recent survey has revealed.
Thirty-seven percent of registered voters "strongly approve[d]" of him in a Napolitan News Service Survey, released Friday. A further 19% "somewhat approve[d]" of him, for a total of 56% overall approval.
By contrast, 33% strongly disapproved of him and 8% somewhat disapproved, for a total of 41%. A further 3% were unsure.
Conducted Dec. 16-19 among 3,000 registered voters, the survey period includes some of the ongoing budget drama, with Trump urging lawmakers to raise the debt ceiling and Republicans struggling to secure an agreement to avert a shutdown.
