President Donald Trump announced on Thursday the issuance of $500 Obamacare refunds to almost 1 million Americans across 30 states.

The administration contended that the Biden administration had overcharged Americans through user fees on the exchange.

"Today’s actions directly refund the Americans most exposed to the higher costs imposed by the Biden Administration’s gross mismanagement of Obamacare," the administration said in a press release.

The move follows Trump's Wednesday evening announcement that he would issue $5,000 "Trump dividends" to American citizens if Republicans won both chambers of Congress in the midterms.

Trump previously floated tariff dividends, but those did not materialize.
