Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday announced that his country would increase its previously planned $600 billion investment in the United States to an even $1 trillion.

"You're saying to me now that the $600 billion will be $1 trillion," President Donald Trump asked him during an Oval Office meeting.

"Definitely, because what we are signing will facilitate that," bin Salman responded. "What you are creating is not about opportunity today, it's about long-term opportunity... it's a game changer for America. I want to be part of it."

Bin Salman made the remarks during a bilateral meeting with Trump in the Oval Office.
