Trump approval on the upswing in December: poll
The mid-December figures marked a net 5.2% swing in his favor.
President Donald Trump's approval rating appears to be on the rebound this month, with Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) reporting a statistically significant rise in his approval polling average.
Trump currently boasts a 44.1% approval rating in that average, compared to a 52.1% disapproval. Exactly one month ago, his approval stood at 41.9% and 55.1% disapproval, meaning the mid-December figures marked a net 5.2% swing in his favor.
The DDHQ figures appear roughly in line with other polling aggregators. RealClearPolling, for instance, currently assigns Trump an average 43.9% approval and 53.4% disapproval.
Trump hit low points for his approval rating in mid-November, though he has generally hovered around 45% support throughout his second term.
