Trump campaign announces $138.7 million July campaign haul
The campaign further announced it had $327 million in cash on hand.
The Trump campaign announced on Thursday that it and its supporting groups had raised $138.7 million in July, the same month that saw him survive an assassination attempt, become the official Republican nominee, and name Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, as his running mate.
The campaign further announced it had $327 million in cash on hand.
"These numbers reflect continued momentum with donors at every level and provide the resources for the final 96 days until victory November 5th," it said in a press release.
In June, the Trump campaign hauled in $111.8 million, just behind President Joe Biden's June total of $127 million.
But Trump's July numbers pale in comparison to early fundraising for Vice President Kamala Harris, who raked in $200 million within the first week of her candidacy.
Biden in late July announced he would not seek reelection and endorsed Harris to succeed him. The Democratic National Committee began a virtual roll call on Thursday morning to confirm her status as its nominee.
