Trump declares victory in 'three-on-one' presidential debate
Trump and Harris faced off Tuesday evening in a 90-minute debate on ABC News.
Former President Donald Trump and his campaign declared victory on Tuesday evening in the wake of the ABC News presidential debate, calling his performance "masterful" for linking Vice President Kamala Harris with President Joe Biden's record.
"I thought that was my best Debate, EVER, especially since it was THREE ON ONE!" Trump posted on his Truth Social platform just minutes after the event in Philadelphia ended, clearly taking issue with the ABC moderators frequent interjections and fact checks.
Trump and Harris faced off Tuesday evening in a 90-minute debate on ABC News. Though it was set to be the sole contest between the pair, the Harris campaign expressed openness to a second debate in October after the conclusion of the debate.
“President Trump delivered a masterful debate performance tonight, prosecuting Kamala Harris’ abysmal record of failure that has hurt Americans for the last 4 years," said campaign senior advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles.
“We saw President Trump lay out his bold vision of America and how he would continue to build upon the successes of his first term by supercharging the economy, securing the border, and stopping crime from ravaging communities across the country," they continued.
“Conversely, Kamala’s vision of America was a dark reminder of the oppressive, big government policies of Joe Biden that she wants to continue. High inflation, a porous border that allows criminals and terrorists to flood across, and being soft on crime— that is what Kamala represents," the pair insisted.
“The choice could not be more clear— President Trump was the clear winner tonight, and he will win for America when he returns to the White House," the statement concluded.
