The 21st District is safely Republican and the state recently redraw its congressional maps to give the GOP an advantage.
President Donald Trump on Thursday endorsed Mark Teixeira as a Republican candidate for Congress.
The former Yankees player announced his campaign in August of last year, seeking to replace Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, who is seeking state office.
I know Mark well, and he is a TOTAL WINNER, on and off the field! An MLB All-Star, Mark’s career was ‘loaded up’ with Accolades and WINS, including five Gold Gloves, three Silver Sluggers, and a World Series Championship,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
