Trump endorses Zach Lahn for governor of Iowa

President Donald Trump on Friday endorsed Zach Lahn to succeed Gov. Kim Reynolds, R-Iowa, as governor of Iowa.
Lahn won the Republican primary in June, defeating the Trump-backed Rep. Randy Feenstra, R-Iowa, marking one of the few instances this cycle of a Trump-endorsed candidate losing the primary.
"It is my Great Honor to endorse America First Patriot, Zach Lahn, a tremendous Candidate running to be the next Governor of the Wonderful State of Iowa, a place I love and WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024!" he posted on Truth Social. "As a Sixth Generation Iowan, and a very successful Businessman, Zach knows the AMERICA FIRST Policies required to Grow our Economy, Create GREAT Jobs, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., and Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE."

"As your next Governor, Zach will work tirelessly to Safeguard our Elections, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Strengthen our Incredible Military/Veterans, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment."
RealClearPolitics currently rates the race as a tossup, with the Democratic candidate currently leading by an average 5.0%.
