After claiming victory, Trump told Fox News he was "very honored" by the win, and declared that the Republican Party was "very united."

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday celebrated his projected victory in the New Hampshire Republican primary in which he defeated former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, his sole remaining competitor for the party nomination of any standing.

The Associated Press called the race shortly after polls closed at 8:00 p.m. Haley had invested heavily in the state, which permits independents to vote in the primary, and polling data in the leadup suggested she could compete with her former boss in the Granite State.

After claiming victory, Trump told Fox News he was "very honored" by the win, and declared that the Republican Party was "very united."

He also suggested online that Haley's declaration that she would move forward with her campaign despite the loss indicated she was out of touch with reality.

"Haley said she had to WIN in New Hampshire. SHE DIDN’T!!!" he posted on Truth Social.

"DELUSIONAL!!!" he posted shortly after.

"SHE CAME IN THIRD LAST WEEK!" he went on.

Haley has vowed to move forward with her campaign, contending that the results on Tuesday indicated growing momentum for her candidacy.

"[T]oday, we got close to half of the vote. We still have a ways to go, but we keep moving up," she said after the election. "It's time to put the negativity and chaos behind us."
