President Donald Trump on Monday announced the launch of Moms.gov and a series of initiatives to support new mothers and expand access to fertility care nationwide.

Trump made the announcement during an event in the Oval Office, supported by Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala. One day after Mother's Day, Trump also touted his other efforts to support the growth of families.

"The first time I heard about fertility was through Katie," Trump said. "I learned everything in three to four minutes, I became the father of fertility."

The White House described Moms.gov as a "user-friendly, one-stop digital hub providing new and expectant mothers with essential resources."

Among the other reforms Trump highlighted were his launch of TrumpRx.gov, that the White House said helped to expand access to IVF, efforts to cut costs of housing and childcare, and his reform of the adoption and foster care processes.
