Former President Donald Trump enjoys a solid lead in New Hampshire ahead of the Republican primary on Tuesday, according to a recent survey.

After Trump triumphed in the Iowa Caucus earlier this week, both tech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson dropped out of the race, thinning the field to Trump, Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Among likely New Hampshire primary voters, Trump emerged as the favorite candidate with 51.80% support in a Suffolk University/Boston Globe/NBC-10 tracking survey. Haley placed second with 35.40% while DeSantis trailed with 6.40%.

Conducted Jan. 17-18, the survey questioned 500 likely New Hampshire primary voters.

The 16.40% lead for Trump is generally consistent with other surveys. Trump averages a 13.5% lead, according to RealClearPolitics.

New Hampshire is notably more competitive than the national landscape, however, as Trump maintains an average 54.6% lead and has cleared 70% support in multiple surveys.
