Former President Donald Trump on Monday posted to X for the first time in roughly a year ahead of his 8 p.m. EST interview with platform owner Elon Musk.

Prior to Monday, Trump's last post on his X account was his mugshot from his arrest in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis's election case.

"Are you better off now than you were when I was president? Our economy is shattered. Our border has been erased. We're a nation in decline. Make the American Dream AFFORDABLE again. Make America SAFE again. Make America GREAT Again!" Trump posted.

He also posted a campaign ad and shared a graphic advertising his interview with Musk, simply stating "enjoy!"

While Musk restored Trump's access to his X account in late 2022, he remained active on Truth Social, his own social media platform created in the wake most platforms restricting his accounts.
