Trump pushes Senate to confirm Blanche as permanent AG
Since assuming the post, Blanche has overseen a litany of arrests and worked with Vice President JD Vance to establish the federal antifraud task force.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged the Senate to move forward with the confirmation process for acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who has served in the office in an acting capacity since the removal of Pam Bondi.
Since assuming the post, Blanche has overseen a litany of arrests and worked with Vice President JD Vance to establish the federal antifraud task force.
"When the Corrupt Biden 'Injustice' Department and Radical Left Prosecutors tried to throw me in jail, and interfered in our Historic 2024 Presidential Campaign, Todd stood by my side and fought off the Lawfare," he posted on Truth Social. "He is a great lawyer, always very fair, and every Republican Senator should vote to CONFIRM Todd Blanche, ASAP!"
Trump also celebrated Blanche's success in fighting legal battles for religious liberty, free speech, gender issues, and an array of other contentious political/legal issues.
