Trump rails against 'fake charges' after arraignment: ‘We will destroy the Deep State’

Former President Donald Trump on Friday railed against the most recent batch of charges against him, lamenting what he termed "fake charges" and vowing to take on the "Deep State" should he return to the White House.
The former president appeared before a Washington, D.C., court on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to four criminal charges as part of special counsel Jack Smith's Jan. 6 probe. Smith has previously indicted him in a separate case involving his alleged mishandling of classified materials. Trump further faces charges from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over a 2016 payment to Stormy Daniels and may faces charges as part of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis's 2020 election probe.
Speaking at the Alabama Republican Party's summer dinner, Trump contended that the indictments were retaliatory measures taken in response to his policy agenda that aim to derail his 2024 candidacy and broader political movement.
"[E]very one of these many Fake Charges filed against me by the Corrupt Biden DOJ could have been filed 2.5 years ago, but they waited and waited until I became dominant in the Polls, and then they filed them all, including local DAs and AGs, and other cases, right in the middle of my Campaign where I am leading the Republicans by a lot, and also leading Biden by a lot," he said, according to his prepared remarks, which Just the News obtained. "It’s called Election Interference, a commonly used tactic in third world countries."
He then contended that the myriad legal cases against him had been brought to deflect from the alleged corruption scandals facing the Biden administration and the first family.
"The Biden Crime Family was taking in money from China, Ukraine, Russia, and so many more—and now, every time more Biden Corruption is exposed, his henchmen indict me the very next day," Trump said. "It’s called a cover-up. They want to take away MY freedom because I will never let them take away YOUR freedom."
"They want to silence me, because I will never let them silence you. In the end, they’re not after me, they’re after you—and I’m just standing in their way," he continued. "From the first day in office, I will appoint a special prosecutor to study each and every of the many claims being brought forth by Congress concerning all of the crooked acts, including bribes from China and many other foreign countries that go into the coffers of the Biden Crime Family."
"The Deep State is destroying our nation, but the tables must turn, and we will destroy the Deep State," he vowed.
