Trump reshares Truth Social post accusing DeSantis of drinking with underaged girls

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday further escalated his ongoing feud with Ron DeSantis, resharing an image that purported to show the Florida governor drinking with underaged high school girls while he was a teacher.

"That's not Ron, is it? He would never do such a thing!" Trump wrote while resharing the post from "Dong-Chan Lee," an unverified account with 506 followers as of press time.

The blurry photo shows a male individual surrounded by three women whose faces have been pixelated. It is unclear whether the photo actually depicts DeSantis and neither the ages of the woman nor their identities are specifically stated.

"Here is Ron DeSanctimonious grooming high school girls with alcohol as a teacher," the caption reads, referencing Trump's derisive nickname for his prospective rival for the GOP nomination. DeSantis taught history at Darlington School in Georgia for one year prior to attending law school.

Just the News has reached out to the governor's office seeking comment as to the photo's authenticity.

Trump has long cautioned DeSantis against challenging him for the Republican nomination in 2024, reminding the governor of his endorsement during the 2018 election cycle during which he first won the state's top job. Polling has continuously suggested that DeSantis could stand as the only near-competitor to the former president in the primary cycle, though he currently stands at a distant second.
