Trump tells Iranians to keep protesting: 'Help is on the way'
Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi remains active in the Iranian resistance.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged Iranian anti-regime demonstrators to seize control of state institutions and insisted that they would receive aid.
"Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING - TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers," he posted on Truth Social. "They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY."
Trump made the remarks amid ongoing protests in Iran that have led to talk of the regime collapsing. German Chancellor Friedrich Merch, for instance, declared Tuesday that the Iranian Islamic Republic was in its "final days."
It remains unclear who may take power should the government fall. Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi remains active in the Iranian resistance.
