Trump urges Senate to 'ACT' on 'Crooked Joe Biden,' amid corruption allegations
"Joe Biden is the most corrupt President in the history of the United States, which is being undeniably proven in the House of Representatives every single day," Trump posted.
Former President Donald Trump on Monday fumed at Senate Republican leadership for not sufficiently chastising President Joe Biden over corruption allegations involving his son and a Ukrainian energy company.
"Joe Biden is the most corrupt President in the history of the United States, which is being undeniably proven in the House of Representatives every single day," Trump posted on Truth Social. "But with all of these horrible revelations and facts, why hasn’t Republican 'leadership' in the Senate spoken up and rebuked Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats, Fascists, and Marxists for their criminal acts against our Country, some of them against me."
"How long does America have to wait for the Senate to ACT?" he concluded.
House Republicans have aggressively pursued myriad investigations into the Biden administration and the first family's business dealings. Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., in particular, has focused on first son Hunter Biden's allegedly illicit deals, recently zeroing in on an unclassified FBI form containing confidential human source allegations that President Joe Biden and Hunter were involved in a bribery scheme with Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
That documents describes a transaction in which Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevksy allegedly paid the Bidens $5 million each to get then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin fired from his post. Shokin was investigating the firm at the time and Burisma executives feared the probe could jeopardize efforts to obtain a U.S. company for IPO purposes.
Trump's call for the Senate to "ACT" did not elaborate, but the Democratic-majority chamber has notably not pursued comparable investigations into the Biden administration or the first family.
