Trump nominated Korb for the post in April

President Donald Trump on Friday announced the withdrawal of his nominee for the post of assistant general counsel to the Treasury without specifying the reason.

"Please be advised that I am withdrawing the nomination of Donald Korb to be Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" he posted on Truth Social.

Trump nominated Korb for the post in April. The Senate made its cloture motion earlier this week. It remains unclear whether Korb's nomination would have succeeded.
