Tonight, candidates in Maine and Florida will vie for public support in their bids to lead their respective states.
In Florida, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis will face Democratic rival Charlie Crist, a former Republican governor, independent senatorial candidate, and Democratic House representative. As of Monday evening, DeSantis holds a commanding, 10.0% lead over Crist, per the RealClearPolitics polling average.
Tampa Bay local outlet WFLA NOW is hosting the debate. You can watch it here. The debate begins at 7 p.m. ET.
In Maine, former Republican Gov. Paul LePage seeks to reclaim his old job from incumbent Democratic Gov. Janet Mills. LePage served two terms as governor from 2011-2019. Recent polling suggests his comeback bid may be an uphill battle, with Mills holding a double-digit lead in several surveys.
