The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Tuesday announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) latest roundup of illegal alien criminals included pedophiles, sexual predators, and attempted kidnappers.

The agency highlighted five of the most egregious criminal offenders as part of its "worst of the worst" showcase to emphasize the dangerous nature of the persons the agency takes into custody.

“Yesterday, the NICE men and women of ICE arrested pedophiles, sexual predators, attempted kidnappers, and other violent public safety threats from our communities,” acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement. “Sanctuary politicians and leftist agitators must stop smearing ICE, who are just doing their job and making America safe again. ICE is nice.”

Since returning to the White House, President Donald Trump has sought to implement mass deportations of as many as 22 million illegal aliens in the country. As of January, the DHS had claimed as many as 3 million foreign departures through a combination of physical deportations and voluntary exits.

Topping the Tuesday roundup was Adrian De Jesus-Maldonado of Mexico, who was convicted of sexual conduct against a child under the age of 13.

Ebodio Robles-Miguel of Mexico was convicted of forcible lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.

Carlos Humberto Perez-Soza of Honduras was convicted of sexual assault.

Esteban Lozano-Cuestas of Mexico was convicted of attempted felony kidnapping.

Jairo Calderon-Larrain of Chile was convicted of second-degree burglary, second-degree felony conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, and larceny.
