Currently, election commissions cannot check their rolls with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to ensure an estimated 90,000 individuals who are currently legally in the state, who can get a drivers license, do not register to vote.
Schoeman said the first change will be an optional expansion for early voting.
The attorneys and other volunteers will monitor early voting, election day voting, logic and accuracy machine testing, mail ballot processing, and post-election canvasses, recounts, and audits.
Both state and federal laws already make it illegal for noncitizens to vote to vote in federal and state elections.
The pair unveiled a legislative effort to require proof of citizenship when adults register to vote in federal elections.
The lawsuit was filed jointly by the RNC and the North Carolina Republican Party.
